Bordeaux Total René Gabriel:
Kunz Fassprobe 2021: (65% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon) Tiefgründiges, dichtes, komplexes, frisches, elegantes, seidenes Bouquet, Heidelbeeren, Getreideriegel, Himbeergelee, Korinthen, Zedern, Schwarztee. Dichtverwobener, vielschichtiger, fein kraftvoller, samtener Gaumen mit fein konzentrierter, zart muskulöser Struktur, konzentrierter, vielfältiger, frischer, super Aromatik, sehr viel, sehr feinem Tannin, frischer, kräftiger, explodierender Abgang mit sehr vielen Rückaromen. Trinkreife 2028-2060. Bewertung 20/20. -Bordeaux Total René Gabriel, André Kunz-
Robert Parker Wine Advocate:
The 2020 Château Cheval Blanc wafts from the glass with aromas of mulberries, plums and cherries mingled with hints of rose petals, licorice, sweet spices and lilac. Full-bodied, broad and voluptuous, it's layered and fleshy, with a ripe core of fruit, sweet tannins and a long, expansive finish. While purists will gravitate toward the purer and more precise and perfumed 2019, the 2020 will appeal to readers who love the richest, most powerful expressions of Château Cheval Blanc. Drink Date 2027-2055. Rating 96/100. -William Kelley-
Vinous:
The 2020 Cheval Blanc is eternal, seamless and exceptionally beautiful. All the elements are so well put together. Rose petal, blood orange, raspberry jam and cinnamon all take shape in the glass. Above all else, the 2020 Cheval Blanc is a wine of mind-blowing balance. Hints of mocha, raspberry jam, pomegranate and spice emerge with time in the glass. Cheval is quite simply one of the truly great wines of the vintage. Drink Date 2030-2070. Rating 99/100. -Antonio Galloni-
James Suckling:
Aromas of strawberries, flowers and rose petals. Medium to full body and such beautiful polish and finesse. The texture is remarkably silky. It’s a wine all in elegance and harmony. Such length. Try in 2022 but already a joy to taste. Rating 96/100. -JamesSuckling.com-
Jancis Robinson:
Tasted blind. Deep purplish crimson. Sweet, toasty, ripe and fresh black fruit. Deliciously aromatic. Succulent, polished, smooth and really generous and yet with lovely freshness on the finely tannic finish. Juicy, lively, long. Rating 18/20. -Jancis Robinson, Julia Harding-
