Bordeaux Total René Gabriel:
67 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 37 % Merlot. Sattes Purpur-Granat, dicht in der Mitte, lila Schimmer aussen. Parfümiertes, bereits sehr fruchtig wirkendes Bouquet, schwarze Kirschen, Cassis und ein Hauch Brombeergelee, feiner Kräuterhauch darin zeigend und auch etwas Melisse und Minze, wird immer wuchtiger mit Luftzutritt. Sublimer Gaumen mit viel Saft in den rundlichen, geschmeidigen Tanninen, gebündeltes Finale im langen Finale. Erinnert an die Primeurprobe vom Jahrgang 1990 mit direkteren Aromen und mehr Perfektion. Einmal direkt auf dem Weingut mit Jean-René Matignon degustiert und dann nochmals an dem Tasting der Union des Grands Crus. Trinkreife 2020-2045. Bewertung 19/20. –René Gabriel–

The 2009 Pichon-Longueville Baron has a medium to deep garnet color and a very meaty/savory nose over a core of sweaty leather, baked blackberries and plums with notions of crème de cassis, sautéed herbs and black olives coming through with coaxing. Full, rich, concentrated and decadently fruited in the mouth, the palate has beautifully plush tannins and an herbal lift on the long finish. Drink Date 2020-2048. 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot. Aged 20 months in oak
barrels (80% new).
Youthful crimson hue. Fresh and floral on the nose. Plenty of intensity and
poise. Identical on the palate, the fruit juicy, the tannins strong but
integrated. Manages power and charm. Only just opening and still a long way to
