Robert Parker Wine Advocate:

The exquisite 2004 Proprietary Red Wine offers up notes of lead pencil shavings, licorice, Asian plum sauce, black currants and a hint of underlying minerality. Full-bodied yet beautifully silky and seductive, it has shed most of its tannins, resulting in a complex, singular red wine of majestic proportions. The finish is among the longest of any 2004 I tasted, and gorgeous levels of fruit and extract hide any notions of new oak. This cuvee tastes like a hypothetical blend of a great Pauillac, Pessac-Leognan and Napa Cabernet Sauvignon. It should drink well over the next two decades. Drink Date 2014-2034. Rating 99/100. -Robert M. Parker, Jr.-

Vinous:

The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain, from Keyes Vineyard, is one of the most powerful wines in the Lokoya lineup. Firm tannins support a core of explosive dark blue and black fruit, grilled herbs, menthol and licorice, all of which come to life in a decidedly powerful, super-intense expression of Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon. There is no shortage of personality here. Full-bodied and vibrant, the take-no-holds 2010 is going to require patience, but it is beautiful, even today. Drink Date 2018-2030. Rating 94+/100. -Antonio Galloni-
