76 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 15 % Merlot, 9 % Cabernet Franc. 65 % neues Holz. 38hl/ha. Sattes Purpur-Granat, dicht in der Mitte, lila Schimmer aussen. Ein Wahnsinnscocktail von verschiedenen Beeren, konzentriert und bereits gebündelt, ein Hauch Amarenakirschen, Cassis und Waldhimbeeren, wirkt sehr frisch und zeigt ein delikates Cabernetparfüm in der Mitte, nach ein paar Minuten kommten Trüffel, Zitronenthymian und Minze zum Vorschein. Im Gaumen Komplexität pur, unglaublich viel Süsse in den veloursartig gegliederten Tanninen, eine feine Kokossüsse und Veilchen und Cassis. Die 6.4 % Presswein im Grand Vin verleihen dem Extrakt eine gewaltige Würze und Szechuanpfeffernoten umd den reichen Körper zu stützen. Geht in Richtung 1982 mit einer gehörigen Portion mehr Klassik und noch mehr Finesse. Mit 13.8 Volumen nicht gerade ein Leichtgewicht. Aber das will er ja auch nicht sein. (20/20). Medium to deep garnet colored, the 2009 Léoville Las Cases rocks up with a drop-dead gorgeous nose of baked blackberries, warm plums and crème de cassis with suggestions of violets, rose hip tea, dark chocolate, menthol and sandalwood. Full-bodied, rich, concentrated and decadent in the mouth, it has super ripe, fine-grained tannins and seamless freshness, finishing very long and exotic. Drink Date 2020-2059. Vinous:

The 2009 Léoville Las-Cases simply delivers on the nose with intense blackberry, wild hedgerow, graphite and crushed stone aromas on the nose. You would put this down as a Pauillac if served blind, unsurprising given that it borders that appellation. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, silky smooth in texture with immense depth. It is blessed with quite brilliant delineation and the precision on the finish is magnificent. Chapeau Mon. Delon. Tasted at BI Wines & Spirits Ten Year On tasting. Drink date 2024-2060. This is the most voluptuous Las Cases ever made, with incredible concentration of fruit and round tannins. Blackberries, currants, and blueberries on the nose. This is insane.
