Robert Parker Wine Advocate:

From estate-wide average yields of just 1.3 tons per acre, the 2015 Proprietary Red is a blend of 46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Cabernet Franc, 17% Petit Verdot and 6% Merlot. It's a full-bodied, lush and velvety effort, with classic scents of ripe cherries and dark chocolate accented by sage, bay and floral nuances and with a long, complex and still gently tannic finish. Drink Date 2025-2040. Rating 96/100. - Joe Czerwinski-

Vinous:

Bottled just a few months ago, the 2015 Continuum is shaping up to be a real gem. The flavors are dark, bold and incisive. In 2015, poor weather during flowering took with it 50% of the production in Continuum's prime Cabernet Sauvignon blocks. As a result, the 2015 has a high percentage (31%) of Cabernet Franc. Today, the Franc is keeping the wine a bit clenched, but that should be less of an issue as time passes. Drink Date 2023-2040. Rating 98+/100. -Antonio Galloni-

James Suckling:

This is sensational with blackberries, blueberries and mineral. Extremely floral, too. Full-bodied but so seamless and refined with polished tannins that just melts into the wine. Goes on for minutes. A subtle and glorious wine that will be a new classic for Napa Valley. An emotional red that touches your soul. Energy. 46% cabernet sauvignon, 31% cabernet franc, 17% petit verdot, and 6% merlot. Very approachable now but better in 2022. Rating 100/100. -JamesSuckling.com

This deeply flavored and silky-textured wine is surprising in the way that rather mild aromas of cigar box and pencil shavings lead to very rich and concentrated fruit flavors and a mouthfilling firmly tannic but certainly not heavy texture. It layers blueberry, black cherry, mocha and mint notes that seem to build and expand with each sip and linger on the finish. Best after 2024. Rating 96/100. -WineEnthusiast.com, Jim Gordon-

Jancis Robinson:

As the result of ongoing drought as well as a cold spring, there was a big shift in the viticultural approach with the 2015 vintage. It became clear that the focus should turn from the devigorating practices that were common in the valley at the time to practices that best supported the overall health of the vines. Some of this recognition also came from realising that mountain conditions naturally provide as much devigorating effect as needed. 100% estate grown and made. 46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Cabernet Franc, 17% Petit Verdot, 6% Merlot.
The 2015 vintage brings a distinctive aromatic presentation with a mix of both orange and grapefruit notes on the nose as well as a light jasmine perfume.
Dark-chocolate notes emerge with air, while the palate is both mouth-watering and elegant. There is a stronger focus on aromas here and aromatic complexity as well compared with the richer, fuller palates of 2012, 2013 and 2014. The aromas are quite pleasing and bring an overall sense of elegance while still offering mountain-desert character. The tannin is fine-grained and persistent, the acidity impressively mouth-watering while balanced. Very lengthy. Drink Date 2019-2042. Rating 17.5+/20. -Elaine Chukan Brown-

Continuum Estate:

A particularly vinous and tactile vintage, the 2015 is rich and succulent, revealing great depth of character reflective of this unique site. The 2015 growing season brought with it extremely low yields - half our normal crop. Though small in volume, this is a mighty vintage for Continuum, one to savour today or age and appreciate for decades to come.
