Robert Parker Wine Advocate:

Drinking great today and a classic expression of this incredible terroir, Delas's 2004 Cote Rotie la Landonne is almost overflowing with notions of Asian spice, olive, dried earth, hints of bacon fat and ample sweet Syrah fruit. Aged 36 months in 100% new French oak, it's medium to full-bodied, elegant, silky and seamless, with no hard edges and a layered, ready-to-go feel. I'd happily drink bottles anytime over the coming decade. Drink Date 2015-2025. Rating 93/100. - Jeb Dunnuck -

Vinous:

Medium red. Pungent violet- and lavender-accented raspberry and redcurrant aromas. Then deep and rich on the palate, with concentrated, pure cherry and blackberry flavors and a good dose of graphite and black olive. Rich for sure, but with impressive energy and focus too. Finishes with mouthwatering acidity and excellent length. Rating 92/100. - Josh Raynolds -
