Allen Meadows’ Burghound.com:

A ripe but distinctly cool and reticent nose displays grudging notes of cassis, black cherry, earth and a broad range of spices that is also trimmed in enough wood to notice. The very dense and serious big-bodied flavors exhibit an intense minerality on the overtly powerful and hugely long finish. Note well that this is a very structured, old school and completely backward Chambertin that will need close to two decades to arrive at its full majority. Patience absolutely required. Rating 94/100. -Allen Meadows’ Burghound.com-

Vinous:

Damoy's 2013 Chambertin comes across as decidedly wild and powerful in style. Juicy black cherries, mint, sage, lavender and violets flesh out as the 2013 shows off its breadth and density. Today, the Chambertin is quite raw, as the malos aren't quite finished. I suspect the 2013 will be quite a bit more complete and harmonious in a few months, once the elements meld together further. Still, the 2013 is impressive just the same. Drink Date 2025-2043. Rating 91-94+/100. -Antonio Galloni-
