The 2020 Biserno is a blend of Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and a small part Petit Verdot. This is an enriched and profound wine with round tones of black fruit, spice, cured tobacco and tarry smoke. Biserno is shapely and generous with a full-bodied approach that is accented by crushed stone and pencil shaving. You get a lot of intensity and texture with this opulent, cellar-worthy wine. Vinous:
The 2020 Biserno is one oft he best wines I can remember tasting here. Rich yet vibrant, the 2020 presents a much more restrained style than was once the norm. There is still plenty of intensity, but energy and vibrancy have replaced volume as signatures. Espresso, menthol, licorice, cloves and leather are some oft he many notes that build in this powerful, elegant Maremma red. Gorgeous Franc aromatics open the finish effortlessly. A powerful red, with a saline element underlining the black currant, blackberry, plum, leather, iron, herb and tobacco aromas and flavors. Reveals muscular tannins that shore up the finish, which has a lingering mix of fruit, herbs and spices. Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Sehr duftende und ausdrucksstarke Nase, nach Cassis, Brombeeren, feiner Minze, dazu ein Hauch Edelholz und Milchschokolade, im Ausklang wieder viel satte Schwarze Ribiseln. Stoffig am Gaumen, mit enorm viel süßem Schmelz, geschliffen, eingebettet in engmaschiges Tannin, edler Lakritzton, kommt im hinteren Bereich saftig wieder, sehr lange, elegant, druckvoll.
