The tannins are firm yet beautifully balanced. The 2008 is a fabulous Carobric that impresses for its energy, verve and drive. I loved it. Anticipated maturity: 2018-2028. Vinous:

Good deep red. Wilder, smokier, more balsamic nose than the fruitier classico. Broad, quite dry and closed, without quite the lift of the basic Barolo. Hard to get a handle on today.
