Robert Parker Wine Advocate:
Foley’s finest wine is modeled after Pride Mountain’s Claret. The 2010 Claret (80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot) boasts fabulous aromas of licorice, espresso beans, blueberries, blackberries and subtle smoky oak. With full-bodied texture, terrific purity and layers of juicy fruit and glycerin, this brilliant, full throttle, mouth-coating red can be enjoyed now as well as over the next 15+ years. Foley is one of the more interesting winemakers in Napa Valley. I first met Robert Foley years ago when he was making the wines at Pride Vineyards, and his wines never lack intensity, always delivering high quality as well as abundant fruit. Drink Date 2013-2028. Rating 96/100. - Robert M. Parker, Jr. -
Robert Foley Vineyards:
Winemaker Notes:Our flagship wine is full and rich and utterly even across the palate: side-to-side and front-to-back. The Bordeaux Blend, Napa-Style! Foley Claret has returned to its roots as a Bordeaux blend of the best we have: 80% Cabernet Sauvignon from our Howell Mountain and Atlas Peak vineyards, 17% Merlot, and 3% Petit Verdot, which together contribute lushness of the mid palate and exotic aromatics of violet and lavender. This classic Cabernet-based blend will blow your mind in its youth and age gracefully for decades to come. Eigenwertung 97/100 (Anteas AG)
