Robert Parker Wine Advocate:
This gorgeous Cabernet Sauvignon from a vineyard above Lake Hennessey exhibits scents of creme de cassis, spring flowers, ink, graphite, plums and licorice. The superb aromatics are followed by a full-bodied, opulent wine with no hard edges. Still in mid-adolescence, this brilliant 2002 is an authoritative example of this great vintage for Napa Valley Cabernet. It should hit its peak in 3-5 years and last for 20-25 years thereafter. Drink Date 2015-2040. Rating 95/100. - Robert M. Parker, Jr. -
Winery:
Planted in 1978, the David Arthur Estate Vineyards are located on the top of Pritchard Hill, overlooking the Napa Valley. Pritchard Hill sits at the North East end of the Napa Valley and is part of the Vaca Mountain Range; the soils here are orange-red and extremely rocky. The vineyard we source the Elevation fruit from, sits at an elevation of 1147 feet above sea level. These few rows of vines have been consistent in their exceptional quality and intriguing flavor profile, inspiring us to bottle the Elevation 1147 as a single vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon. – David Arthur Winery -
