Allen Meadows’ Burghound.com:
A strikingly floral, elegant, cool and manifestly airy nose consists of super fresh red berries, earth, wet stone and subtle game and herbal tea hints. There is a superb sense of energy to the intensely mineral-driven and sleekly muscular flavors that culminate in a beautifully complex, focused and well-balanced finish. This beauty should be approachable after 10 years of age but amply reward 15 to 18. Textbook Latricières and a definite 'wow' wine! Rating 95/100. -Allen Meadows’ Burghound.com-
Robert Parker Wine Advocate:
Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2014 tasting, the 2014 Latricières Chambertin Grand Cru has an earthy bouquet with some signs of whole bunch, très Latricières. The palate is medium-bodied with chewy tannin and a fine line of acidity, quite masculine in style with a well-defined, black pepper-tinged finish. There is good potential here although not quite in the same class as Trapet's Chapelle-Chambertin this year. Tasted September 2017. Drink Date 2020-2042. Rating 93/100. -Neal Martin-
Vinous:
Good medium red color. Cherry and redcurrant aromas are complicated by mineral, smoke and licorice notes. Wonderfully sweet and dense in the mouth, with harmonious ripe acidity framing the very pure red berry, mineral and spice flavors; really dances on the palate. This captivating vin de terroir finishes with terrific definition, noble tannins and superb energy and length. In theory, a vintage like '14 should favor Chapelle-Chambertin over this cooler site, but nobody mentioned that to this wine. Drink Date 2025-2035. Rating 94/100. -Stephen Tanzer-
