Robert Parker Wine Advocate:
Showing inky dark concentration, the flagship Tenuta di Biserno 2019 Biserno is a rich, beautiful and brooding wine. There is so much life and intensity in this vintage that is packed tight with black fruit, spice, tar and sweet tobacco. The aromas are presented with seamless transitions, and the finish is exceptionally long. This wine shows ripeness, but it also offers elegance, and that’s not an easy overlap to make. This wine should hold past the 20-year mark. Drink Date 2024-2048. Rating 97/100. –Monica Larner–
Vinous:
The 2019 Biserno is a gorgeous, elegant wine that captures the essence oft the house style today. Dark cherry, plum, mocha, espresso, licorice and incense are all laced together. The 2019 is deep and fleshy yet also retains mid-weight structure and terrific energy. It’s one oft he most elegant wines I have tasted here. Drink Date 2023-2033. Rating 96/100. –Antonio Galloni–
Rating 100/100. –Peter Moser–
James Suckling:
Sophisticated aromas of blackcurrants and blueberries with
fresh herbs, such as fresh sage and rosemary. Graceful and complex. Full-bodied
with very fine, driven tannins that are sleek and polished. The palate goes on
for minutes. 32% cabernet franc, 32% cabernet sauvignon, 30% merlot and 6%
petit verdot. Already beautiful, but in two or four years it will be poetry.
Drink or hold. Rating 98/100. – JamesSuckling.com -
