Robert Parker Wine Advocate:
The gorgeous 2007 Amarone della Valpolicellla Classico Campolongo di Torbe is stunning on all levels. The 2007 vintage shows great balance and the wine is still at a young stage in its development. So far, its many elements seem to be moving forward at a steady pace. Spice, espresso, tar, teriyaki, prune and plum add complexity to the bouquet. The mouthful is extra large and extracted, but this bigger style works well given the alcohol (16%) and powerful horsepower of this massive wine. Drink Date 2016-2030. Rating 95/100. – Monica Larner –
Vinous:
Dark cherries, raspberry jam, plums, rose petals, smoke, incense and blood orange are some of the many notes that flesh out in Masi's 2007 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Campolongo di Torbe. Rich and voluptuous to the core, this eccentric, full-bodied Amarone offers gorgeous depth and tons of pure textural volume. There is a lot to like here, including the wine's open, resonant personality. Drink Date 2014-2027. Rating 93/100. - Antonio Galloni –
Winespectator:
A vibrant red, with a spicy skein unraveling through the flavors of date, kirsch, olive tapenade and dried herb. Harmonious, framed by sinewy tannins and finely tuned, juicy acidity. Drink now through 2027. 1,175 cases made. Rating 93/100. -AN-
