Robert Parker Wine Advocate:
The 2007 Barolo Cannubi is a massive, imposing wine, as so many Baroli from this site are in 2007. This is a remarkably primary unevolved Barolo that impresses for its seamless fruit and breathtaking richness. With time in the glass, the wine's aromatic nuances finally emerge, giving a brief glimpse of what is to come over the following years. This is a totally complete, mesmerizing Barolo from Scavino. Anticipated maturity: 2017-2027. Rating 96/100. - Antonio Galloni –
Vinous:
Good full red. Deep, complex aromas and flavors of dark cherry, raspberry, flowers, tobacco and truffley underbrush. Broad and classic, with superb inner-mouth floral lift and a pronounced crushed rock character. A beautiful expression of Cannubi, with excellent acidity, noble tannins and an extremely long, resounding finish. This fruit was picked at a low pH in 2007, noted Elisa Scavino. Rating 95+/100. - Stephen Tanzer –
James Suckling:
Intense aromas of meat, berries with hints of black truffles. Goes to dried dark fruits. Full body, with intense super polished tannins and a long chewy finish. This is very powerful. Rating 95/100. – JamesSuckling.com -
