Sourced in Jenins and Malans (predominantly Swiss clones with resistant small berries) and fermented with up to 45% whole clusters, the 2022 Pinot Noir Monolith opens with a deep, elegant and generous aroma of dark berries and cherries intertwined with oriental spices on the nose. Full-bodied and silky on the palate, this is a juicy, intense and elegant Pinot with noble tannins and a long, saline finish. This modern, well-made Pinot is quite open and round already and beautiful to drink at this early stage. Ten to 15 percent of the macerating grape juice was used for the sparkling wine Sekt Brut. It was bottled in January this year after 12 months in barriques, of which 30% were new. Tasted at the domaine in March 2024. Drink Date 2025-2050. Rating 94/100. -Stephan Reinhardt-

Mittleres Rubingranat. Eher zurückhaltende Frucht, Pflaume, Süsskirsche, Himbeere, etwas frischer Granatapfel, dazu edel wirkende Röstnoten, rauchig-würzige Nuancen. Am Gaumen kräftig wirkend mit viel Extrakt, aber reifer, harmonisierender Säure. Feines, derzeit noch spürbares Tannin. Hallt lange nach. Muss reifen.
