Robert Parker Wine Advocate:

The 2019 Proprietary Red Paradise Hills Vineyard is a blend of 83.5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 3.5% Petit Verdot. Deep garnet-purple in color, it displays vibrant cassis, wild blueberries, licorice and sautéed herbs notes with touches of tilled earth and crushed rocks. The delicately styled, medium to full-bodied palate slowly unfurls to reveal the bold, fresh black fruit flavors and just enough freshness, finishing wonderfully earthy. Drink Date 2023-2043. Rating 95/100. -Lisa Perrotti-Brown-

Vinous:

The 2019 Proprietary Red Paradise Hills Vineyard is a powerful, austere wine that is going to demand patience. Its potential, though is evident. Aromatic deep and beautifully layered in the glass, the 2019 soars with captivating aromatics. There is plenty of depth to match. Dark-fleshed fruit, graphite, spice and licorice build effortlessly. Next to the 2018, the 2019 is perhaps not quite as rich, but it appears to have a bit more aromatic presence in the early going. It has been nothing less than magnificent in two separate tastings thus far. Drink Date 2026-2042. Rating 97/100. -Antonio Galloni-
