Bodegas Luis Canas:
This wine stems from the desire to go further in the search for the perfect wine, one that combines structure, complexity and balance. Product of an exhaustive selection of the grapes selected not just from the plot but from the actual vine considered most suitable, those which produce three or less clusters in a natural way and which have an average age of more than 60 years. These grapes are picked into small crates when at their peak, checked on a double sorting table and vinified in small vats at a controlled temperature. After alcoholic fermentation they are macerated to extract all their potential. The resulting wine goes into French- and American-oak casks where the malolactic fermentation takes place.
Tasting:
Dichtes dunkles Purpurrot. Expressives Bouquet mit einer Fülle aromatisch duftender, reifer schwarzer Früchte, Rauch und Röstaromen vom getoasteten Eichenholz, mineralische Graphitanklänge, Unterholz und frisch zerstossenem schwarzen Pfeffer. Am Gaumen süsse reife Blaubeeren, Brombeeren und Crème de Cassis in perfekter Balance mit würzigen Laktritze- und Vanillearomen, gerösteten Mokkabohnen und frisch gebrühtem Café au Lait. Dickfleischig, kraftvoll mit konzentrierter Mitte, überzeugt er mit einer ausgewogenen, harmonischen Struktur, hochreifer, süsser Frucht und feinkörnig geschliffenen Tanninen. Unglaublich langer Abgang mit makelloser Reinheit und Frische. Ein Riese der sich zwischen 2015 und 2030 in voller Grösse präsentieren wird.
