Robert Parker Wine Advocate:

Deep garnet in color, the 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon struts flamboyantly out of the glass with notions of crème de cassis, blackberry pie and plum preserves plus hints of cigar box, Chinese five spice, sautéed herbs, cast-iron pan and charcuterie. Full-bodied, rich, seductive and oh-so-decadent, it has a firm level of beautifully plush tannins and loads of exotic spice and savory layers, finishing long and mineral laced. Drink Date 2019-2042. Rating 97/100. - Lisa Perrotti-Brown -

Vinous:

Good dark red. Expressive, complex scents of plum, black raspberry, cedar, tobacco leaf, mocha and minerals. Fine-grained and energetic on the palate, with its sweet plum and mocha flavors lifted by a floral element. There's something Pomerol-like about this wine, which is about much more than simply primary fruit and displays more energy than either the '08 or '07 Bryant bottlings. A youthful yet already impeccably balanced wine with great class and finesse, this beauty finishes with utterly seamless, noble tannins. Drink Date 2019-2034. Rating 96/100. - Stephen Tanzer -

Winespectator:

A real beauty, exhibiting riveting aromatics that touch a range of dark berry, green olive and herb flavors, with cedar, mocha and espresso notes. Yet for all the size and density of this Cabernet, the tannins are fine and silky. Best from 2014 through 2030. 965 cases made. Rating 95/100.  – JL -

James Suckling:

Pretty, ripe currants, hot stones and flowers on the nose, following through to a full body with polished, layered tannins and lots of juiciness. Lemony and spicy at the end with a botanical undertone to the finish. Elegance with strength. Fine, velvety tannins. Fruit from Madrona and Howell Mountain with a touch of Bryant. Best after 2027. Rating 99/100. -JamesSuckling.com-

WineEnthusiast.com:

Rich and smooth in tannins, with some sharpness through the finish, this shows masses of ripe blackberries and dark chocolate. A bit of time in the glass reprises and accentuates the chocolaty richness. Despite its power, this is refined and high toned, a serious cellar candidate. Give it 10–15 years. Rating 96/100. -WineEnthusiast.com-
