Roagna's 2011 Barbaresco Pajé Vecchie Viti opens with the most exquisite aromatics imaginable. A hypothetical blend of Asili and Montefico, the Pajé Vecchie Viti offers captivating perfume, ripe, silky fruit and exceptional overall balance. Oddly, the Vecchie Viti is much more accessible than the straight Pajé, which Roagna ascribes to this wine having had one more racking during aging. Gläzendes, sattes Rubin. Eröffnet mit erdig-mineralische Noten, nach Granatapfel und frischen Kirschen, im Hintergrund nach Safran.
