Robert Parker Wine Advocate:
The 2007 Barolo Brunate is a stunner. Layers of dark fruit, mocha, chocolate, menthol, pine and spices emerge reluctantly from an inward, mysterious Barolo that captures the essence of one of Piedmont's greatest sites. Structurally, it remains a powerhouse, with massive tannins, great body and fabulous length. The Brunate is one of the most improved wines at Vietti over the last few years, and is a huge success in this vintage. Anticipated maturity: 2017-2032. Rating 98/100. - Antonio Galloni -
Vinous:
Good full red. Brilliant aromas of red berries, cherry, wild herbs, mint, minerals and rose petal, all lifted by a pungent blood orange note. Wonderfully sweet and generous but with outstanding clarity of flavor too, not to mention a big structure for a Barolo from La Morra. The broad, layered finish features noble tannins and great resonating length and lift. Grand cru grain and class. Rating 97/100. - Stephen Tanzer –
Winespectator:
This enticing red kicks off with sweet cherry, berry, spice and pepper aromas and flavors, picking up wild underbrush and smoky, mineral elements. The sinewy tannins keep this all together, leading to a fresh, lively finish. Best from 2015 through 2032. 255 cases made. Rating 95/100. - Bruce Sanderson -
