The 2021 Belvedere del Castello Luigi Ticino Merlot Besazio displays a dark cherry color and opens with a pure, fresh, elegant and toasty bouquet of ripe, stewed and also spicy cherries, redcurrant and ripe plums intertwined with notes of black tea pot, sesame, soy sauce, wasabi, paprika and potted ginger. Very elegant and refined as well as sweet and intense on the palate, this is a full-bodied, dense, fresh, tart and silky-textured Ticino Merlot with well-concentrated yet juicy fruit, spicy tannins and a long, intense and promising finish.
